Why ASP.NET is not working for my IIS website?

Posted by Anonymous On 12/11/2008 01:18:00 AM
I just installed the website and the application is dependent to ASP.NET. The installation went well without error following the install wizards. Now testing the website, I've got Page cannot be found error tsk tsk tsk.

How to fix it issue?
It is simply allowing ASP.NET extension in your IIS.
  • Click on Start, Administrative Tools, then Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
  • In IIS Manager, click Web Service Extension. You suppose to see the ASP.NET v2.0.50727 as listed in your Web Service Extension.
  • Click ASP.NET v2.0.50727 and click Allow, you will see the Status changed from Prohibited to Allowed.
Check your website now.

Troubleshooting,  if ASP.NET v2.0.50727 is not listed in your Web Service Extension. Please visit www.microsoft.com and search for ASP.NET 2.0.50727 installer.

That's all.
