Having problem reading document files saved in the latest release of Microsoft Office 2007? Whaddya know any alternative solutions to read Microsoft Office 2007 files with your current Microsoft Office 2003?

Microsoft provided a Compatibility Pack free to download so you can read and edit files created using Microsoft Office 2007.

Here's the download link from Microsoft website. Note: Do not download this file from other website. If you can't get through the link, visit Microsoft.com and search for Compatibility Pack for Office 2007.

The file size is 28.1MB, this will take a while to download depend on your Internet broadband speed. Save the file to your local directory, for example in C:\temp\ (if no temp folder, just create one and delete it later).

How to install the Compatibility Pack for Microsoft 2007?
Double click the file and start installing the update, it will take 5 to 10 minutes to update your Microsoft Office 2003.

Testing!
You should be able to read and edit any files created using Microsoft Office 2007.
