Extending Adsense for domains to all publishers

I monitor Google Adsense blogs to receive updates for upcoming new add-ons, features and other cool tools. Well, 4 hours ago an exciting post pop-up in my screen about extending adsense for domains to all publishers .. I said woohhh, this is great.

If you don't know about Adsense for domains, here a quick information for you to relate to this specific topic.

If you have undevelop website, for example ThankYouForTheAdd.com domain name which I plan to be a graphic website for social networking community. I can use Google Adsense for domains to provide advertisers search results and we share the revenue (don't ask me at what percentage because I have no idea, hopefully 50/50 share).

Meaning, you can make money with your undevelop domain name using Google Adsense for domains. Just to give you an example, if you have 10 domain names that generate decent traffics and guestimate $10 revenue per day. Do the math, this is $100 per day or $3000 per month revenue. Sounds like a promising business opportunity.

If you will ever register a domain name, follow this simple and practical guide:
  • Do not register trademark domain names e.g. domains with Google, MSN, Coke, IBM, and other obvious company names. You may use http://www.uspto.gov website to check existing trademarks and avoid them.
  • Do not register mis-spelling domain names.
  • Register short domain name for your company
  • You may register .com .net .org .tv and other extension to protect your brand name.
Where to register domain name at low cost?
Going back to Google Adsense for domains, webpreneurs registered some domain names and parked it for advertisers search results. Parking companies like Parked, Domain Sponsor, NameDrive, and other provides parking pages so you don't have to create from scratch. They will provide you easy to navigate control panel to customize the look and feel of your parked domain names. So the revenue share between Google to Parking company and then to you. Today, this all changed because Google extend adsense for domains to all publishers (or domain name owners). Soon, the computation of revenue is between Google and You. No more third party.

This is a great revenue for publishers or domain name owners but what will happen if Google maintain full control of domain name parking income? Only time can tell.

  1. Unknown Said,

I’ve set up a dozen domains for test I plan on running for a few months - we’ll see if its worthwhile. I will keep a running update on clicks and revenue on http://pbarnhart.wordpress.com/testing-adsense-for-domains/

  2. Thank you for sharing Phil.

I will try some domains this week, definitely a lot better to go direct with Google for Adsense.

    Cheers.
